The Parent Subsidiary was established in 2020 as a multi-purpose project to provide suitable grounds for exporting food products from Iran to other parts of the world. Following a laboratory pilot period and administration of preliminary product tests in a private research laboratory, land area 400 m² storeroom Arses was established on the old road of Karaj. The Subsidiary, TADBIR ANDISHAN ARSES CANADA INC. was incorporated on January 20, 2023, in Ontario. Mr. Mostafaeikalyan owns %20 of the Subsidiary’s share while the Parent Subsidiary, Tadbirandishan Arses, owns %60, Ms. Mahsa Emami, owns %10, Mr. Mohammadsam Mostafaeikalyan %5, and Mr. Mohammad Salman Mostafaeikalyan %5. The Subsidiary will locate its office in Scarborough, Ontario, and will operate Monday to Saturday from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The Subsidiary will position itself as a provider of high-quality nuts and dried fruits in Scarborough. Scarborough is a multicultural and multilingual community, with a notable population of residents of Middle Eastern descent. According to the latest statistics,1 over 35,000 residents of Scarborough reported West Asian origins in the 2021 Canadian Census, indicating a significant potential customer base. Moreover, the same report indicated that over 14% of Scarborough residents identified their mother tongue as a non-official language, predominantly including Persian (Farsi), showcasing a strong cultural presence.
While there are several grocery stores and supermarkets in the region, market research showed a lack of specialty Persian nuts and dried fruit stores catering specifically to the needs of the Middle Eastern community.2 It’s also noteworthy that the trend towards ethnic grocery shopping is on the rise in Canada. According to a study by the University of Toronto in 2021, ethnic grocery stores in Canada have been growing at a rate of 3% annually, outpacing the growth of mainstream grocery stores. With the Canadian import data indicating a steady increase in the import of these specialty items, TADBIR ANDISHAN ARSES CANADA INC. has the potential to fill this market gap, bringing immense benefits to the region. In terms of the HoReCa (hotels, restaurants, and cafes) segment, Statistics Canada reported in 2022 that there were over 2,000 establishments in the food services and drinking places sector in Scarborough,3 a number of which are Middle Eastern in cuisine, potentially providing a substantial B2B customer base for the Subsidiary.
TADBIR ANDISHAN ARSES CANADA INC., the Subsidiary, is set to establish its reputation as a purveyor of superior specialized providers of nuts and dried fruits. It aims to leverage the operational expertise and best practices from its Parent Subsidiary to source, preserve, and retail a diverse assortment of high-quality products at highly competitive prices. The Subsidiary is committed to prioritizing its customers, mirroring the Parent Subsidiary’s strategy of offering weekly special discounts and monthly exclusive deals. Emphasizing product reliability, the Subsidiary will only procure goods from trustworthy and duly licensed manufacturers and dealers. Mr. Mostafaeikalyan will undertake the necessary procedures for obtaining an import license. Upon issuance of the import license, the Subsidiary will begin importing specialty products from the Parent Subsidiary, broadening the range of offerings available to its Canadian clientele. The operations of the Subsidiary will be firmly rooted in its core values and professional ethics, underscoring its commitment to delivering quality and excellence. By implementing these strategic measures, the Subsidiary is poised to expand its operations sustainably, while continuously enhancing its standing in the competitive grocery retail landscape.
